ANASTACIA (U.S.A.) CANCELED DUE TO ENGAGEMENT CONFLICT

Anastacia is a story about personal struggle and triumph. A story that embodies her soul, her energy, her passion and her sincerity, the only way that she knows how her way. She is a determined, uncompromising and a focused Chicago-born, New York City-raised talent that is known for her sass and style, but hailed for her unique vocal styling. With her debut album "Not That Kind " on the Top 10 Album Charts in nearly ten countries, with gold, platinum and multi-platinum sales status in more then a dozen countries and with overall sales exceeding 5 million overseas, Anastacia has conquered Europe (U.K., France, Italy and Germany) as well as Holland, New Zealand and Australia with her sheer talent.

 NATALIE IMBRUGLIA (AUSTRALIA)

Intelligent songs full of an inner strength, a powerful voice projected with knowing confidence." That's how England's "Melody Maker" describes the music of newcomer Natalie Imbruglia.
Before breaking onto the music scene, however, the New South Wales-born Imbruglia starred as Beth Brennan in the Australian hit daytime drama "Neighbours". After leaving the show in 1994 because of creative differences, Imbruglia moved to the U.K. to work on her music career. In 1996, after catching the attention of BMG's Mark Fox, Imbruglia was signed to RCA. Her debut album, "Left of the Middle," appeared in 1997. Collaborating with writer/producer (and former Cure bassist) Phil Thornally, singer/songwriter Mark Goldenberg and Radiohead producer/mixer Nigel Godrich, Imbruglia wrote /co-wrote nine of the 12 songs on the album. "Torn," the album's first hit, topped the charts across Europe, selling more than a million copies in the U.K. In early 1998, Imbruglia headed Stateside for her first American television appearances on "Saturday Night Live" and "The Late Show with David Letterman

 THE CRANBERRIES (IRELAND)

At the end of 1993, The Cranberries were a fairly anonymous group of Irish musicians who toured relentlessly and were struggling for a hit. Two years later, they were a fairly anonymous group of Irish musicians who'd sold close to twenty million albums worldwide. Theirs has been a rags-to-riches story of epic proportions: four slightly unworldly rockers who refuse to compromise become Ireland's biggest musical export since U2 without anyone really noticing.

WESTLIFE (IRELAND)

Westlife is a hot new Irish group that is managed by pop genius Louis Walsh.   They became the first UK boy band to top the charts with their first five singles. They are Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan and Bryan Mcfadden.

Westlife started out with 6 members in Ireland as "IOU" and later "Westside" since Mark, Kian and Shane were from Sligo in the west side of Ireland.  After signing with RCA Records they changed their names to Westlife as there was another band in the USA using the name Westside.

TERENCE TRENT D'ARBY (U.S.A.)

R&B singer-songwriter Terence Trent D'Arby was born in New York but burst onto the music scene from Germany, where he was stationed with the U.S. Army. In the early 1980s D'Arby formed the group the German funk group the Touch, who released one album before breaking up. D'Arby then moved to London, where he recorded a demo tape and landed a deal with CBS. His soulful 1987 debut "Introducing the Hardline According to Terence Trent D'Arby" lived up to its tremendous pre-release hype, spawning the No. 1 "Wishing Well," as well as several other Top 10 U.S. and U.K singles. Critically acclaimed and favorably compared to Prince's work, "Introducing" went to No. 1 and sold double-platinum. D'Arby continued his policy of both singing and playing most of the instrumentation on his ambitious 1989 follow-up, "Neither Fish Nor Flesh", which contained experimental styles and weighty subject matter. 1993's "Terence Trent D'Arby's Symphony or Damn" was followed in 1995 by "Terence Trent D'Arby's Vibrator".

RANDY CRAWFORD (U.S.A.)

For more than three decades, Randy Crawford has traversed a musical spectrum that ranges from jazz and soul, to R&B and pop. Her warm timbre and inventive, emotional phrasing has won Crawford countless awards and fans around the globe.

HEVIA (SPAIN)

Multi-timbre electronic bagpipe?! Si! Tierra De Nadie features Asturian piper Jose Angel Hevia on his own patented invention--the multi-timbre electronic bagpipe. It does, indeed, sound like a bagpipe. Most often, Hevia makes it sound either like uilleann pipes or an Asturian gaita, but occasionally he draws other timbres from it. Some phrases that make you think of Great Highland Bagpipes, Northumbrian smallpipes, and even other reed instruments like clarinet (sort of) and krumhorn (once, briefly). Hevia also plays some good traditional gaita (Spanish bagpipe), and quite a bit of low whistle.

RUSSELL WATSON (ENGLAND)

Russel Watson's story reads like a kitsch fairytale. After years of singing at nightclubs and smoky pubs, Watson eventually decided to drop by at Decca Records, one of the world's pre-eminent classical labels. A few hours later, he left with a recording contract in his hand and a voice coach by his side. In this, his first release, Watson experiments with a wide range of musical styles. Selections include Simon & Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water", Pelagia's Song from the movie "Captain Corelli's Mandolin", and "Barcelona" (a remake of the famous Freddie Mercury-Montserrat Caballe duet). Watson's first CD proves what the nightclub audience already knew: his tenor voice is as amazing as his ability to mix various musical genres. Watson is only 27 years old and already a Superstar in his native England.

SASHA (GERMANY)

SASHA - the pop phenomenon. 7 chart singles in a row 2 of which went platinum and 2 gold albums, Europe wide airplay and virtually always sold out concerts. This is how the résumé of one of Germany's most spectacular singer careers reads. SASHA needed all but a few months to cast a spell on hundreds of thousands of fans using his charm and voice. Today, some three and a half years after the release of his first single, SASHA is a permanent feature in Germany's pop-landscape. However SASHA is not just a tremendous singer but also an impressive personality. His live gigs, co-presenting with Anke Engelke and the Comet 2001 show him as a charismatic, unique entertainer. His work for the poorest of the poor during visit to Malawi for UNICEF shows he is touched by the fate of people and is very much involved. SASHA is a star with many faces.
